Kershaw Leather is a Stockport-based, high-quality leather clothing retailer.
The Brief
Kershaw Leather required a stylish e-commerce website which would show off their new range of men and women’s leather and country wear. It was to be attractive, simple to use and be optimised for easy indexing by search engines.
The company was keen to improve upon its previous site and feature a range of e-commerce functionality such as product categorisation, product image magnification, user accounting, a shopping cart payment system and a back-end content management system.
The Solution
I chose to use a colour palette that would complement the leather products on the site perfectly and therefore selected a mixture of creams, browns and greens.
Special features of the website include a product search, a scrolling product thumbnail viewer and an image magnifier.
The architecture of the site is based around a shopping cart solution which is entirely customised to integrate with the required design and fulfill the latest web standards.
The site is coded in XHTML 1.0, CSS1.0 & 2.0, Javascript and PHP.
